Danny left school at 16 to start his football apprenticeship at Bradford City. Danny soon turned pro and made over 50 appearances in Champship and League One scoring 5 goals between 2001-2006.
Danny spent the 2005/06 season on loan at Halifax Town. Town finished 4th in the league that season and lost in the play off final after extra time vs Hereford which would have seen them promoted to football league. Danny signed permanently for Halifax for 2 years and stayed there until summer 2008 when club went bust. Made over 120 appearances in all comps.
A move down south followed after signing for Crawley Town in July 2008. Danny stayed for there 2 seasons, finishing 8th and 6th in the conference making 80 appearances scoring 9 goals.
2010/11 season saw a move to Barrow hampered by a serious ankle injury limiting his appearances to 14. He spent the second half of that season on loan at Guiseley where they reached the play off final of the Conference North before signing permanently and spending 2 more seasons including 2 more play off campaigns.
Danny had a spell at Harrogate Town before returning to Guiseley during the 2013/14 season and playing for Gainsborough Trinity during 2014/15 and 2015/16 season.
